Feet being washed

Well for this painting it actually started with the challenge of her pose and also the parable in the bible of Jesus washing people’s feet. Also his feet were washed in the bible. I wondered why a person would wash a person’s feet in semi modern times and the best reason I came up with is she’s pregnant and her feet ache I wanted it to look like you were looking into a room and seeing this and being touched. Also took this opportunity to work on lighting and such.
